WHO WE ARE:

The Ennis Church of Christ is a family of believers who come together every Sundays and once in midweek to worship God and encourage each other. Our love for one and other is evident in all what we do as Christians.

The Church of Christ was established on the day of Pentecost after the resurrection of Jesus Christ (Acts 1, 2). Our head is Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:20-23, Colossians 1:15-18). Our doctrine, organization and way of worship are in accordance with the teaching of Christ and the Apostles as revealed in the New Testament.

People from all background are welcome to the Church Of Christ meeting place 21 Carriage An Oir in Ennis. This is not just a preference with us but is a conviction based on the Scriptures and the practice of the early Christians. Gal. 3:26-28.

We are a non-denominational body with no allegiance to any religious body except that of Christ. We strive for the unity of believers and follow biblical examples for our church practices. Acts 2:42 , Acts 11:26-27.

We are just simple Christians as in the New Testament Church. Followers of Christ.
A Christian must first accept Christ and understand what the apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:1-3. They must agree with the pattern laid down in the scriptures to be able to avail of the benefits of Christ death, burial and resurrection which is as follows:-

ONE MUST HEAR AND RESPOND TO THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST AND THE APOSTLES.
Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing the word of God.

ONE MUST BELIEVE
Heb 11:6 – He that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarded of them that diligently seek Him.

ONE MUST REPENT
Luke 13:5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Acts. 17:30 And the times of ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent.

ONE MUST CONFESS
Matthew 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
Acts. 8:36-37 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? Then Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."

ONE MUST BE BAPTIZED
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 22.16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. 1Pe 3:21  There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

ONE MUST STRIVE TO GROW AND LIVE FAITHFULLY
Revelation. 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life And
2Pe 3:18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
